I used DNC wood paint remover. My doors were 30-year-old doors made of tar wood. I wanted to remove the top paint and varnish it in its natural state. I found this product on the internet. Really amazing. When used, you apply it as a gel with a brush and scrape off the flat areas with a spatula before it dries. It already rises in 2 minutes. You remove the indented areas with a wire brush and throw them away. Then, you can sand the flat areas with a sanding machine and the recessed areas with a hand sander.
What you need to be careful about is to clean it after applying it on the wood. If it dries, it becomes difficult to remove it again, so apply it little by little. It's a great product.
